Eli's picture on the cover of the sheet music for " Dear Old Girl"
		Eli was a prominent singer in vaudeville and minstrels. He possed a clear, high lyric tenor voice and was a leading solois with the Old Hi Henry Minstrels. He later entered Vaudeville as a tenor singer with the famous Bootblack Quartette.
